This retail dry fertilizer building was engineered to deliver efficient, high-volume performance with the flexibility to meet current blending needs and the adaptability to expand as operations grow. Featuring 6,500 tons of dry fertilizer storage, the system supports an annual throughput of approximately 13,500 tons.
Precise, Repeatable Blends
Blending is managed through a combination of Doyle’s Declining Weight and a 10-ton Fat Boy Vertical Blender used as a secondary blending system. The Declining Weight setup includes six 12-ton hoppers and two 2-ton micro-hoppers for micronutrients, enabling precise, repeatable blends involving five or six materials. The system also accommodates chemical impregnation with one additive, allowing for enhanced product customization.
Speed and Simplicity
Operational efficiency is a key advantage of this installation. The system can be fully controlled via iPad from the loader by a single operator, or managed collaboratively between one operator in the office and one at the loader. Designed for speed and simplicity, the facility can unload and load five to six trucks per hour, making it an ideal setup for retail operations seeking both performance and ease of control.
